We went to Richmond this past weekend for our best friends 26th birthday. We decided to make a delicious dessert for her birthday with some of the freshly picked apples we got a couple of weeks ago from Hollins Farm. The recipe is really easy and looks like a piece of art when you’re finished. We found the recipe online, they are called Apple Roses. You can find the YouTube video here: Apple Roses

We had to make a few adjustments from the recipe. We found that we needed to cook the apple slices longer, around 3:30 minutes, or until soft. We also cooked them for a shorter period of time around 25 minutes. Other than that we followed the recipe are far as ingredients are concerned. We topped the apple roses with some homemade caramel sauce along with vanilla ice cream.

They were delicious!
