Kitchen Essentials

In order to cook the recipes you are going to need a few kitchen essentials to get started

2 1/2 C. chicken stock
1 Tb. lemon zest
1 shallot, diced finely
1/2 C. grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 C. white wine
1 Tb. olive oil
1 Tb. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. peas, frozen and thawed

Ingredients for chicken:

2 breasts of chicken, cut in half lengthwise
sprinkle of salt and pepper
sprinkle of cayenne and paprika
sprinkle of oregano

Ingredients for salad:

8 C. chopped kale
2 chicken breasts
1/4 C. sunflower seeds
2 tsp. olive oil
2 slices of bread

Ingredients for honey mustard dressing:

1/4 C. Greek yogurt
1 1/2 TB. grainy Dijon mustard
1 1/2 TB. honey
1 1/2 TB. rice wine vinegar
1/8 C. olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Ingredients for chicken salad:

1/2 of a rotisserie chicken, chopped
1 granny smith apple
1/2 C. red grapes, sliced in half
1/3 C. chopped almonds, toasted
2 green onions, sliced
2 TB. chopped fresh tarragon
8 C. shredded romaine lettuce

1/4 C. plain Greek yogurt
1 1/2 TB. Dijon mustard
1 1/2 TB. honey

1/8 tsp. salt

WK44: Slow Cooker Red Cabbage with Roasted Pork

Ingredients for red cabbage:

3/4 of a red cabbage, thinly sliced
1 medium apple
1 C. red wine
1/4 C white wine vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. clove
1 tsp. chicken bouillon, or 1 cube

Ingredients for sauce:

juices from the stewed cabbage
1 tsp. corn starch

Ingredients for Pasta:

1 lb. rotini pasta
5 sun dried tomatoes in seasoned oil (chopped)
1/2 C. feta (chunked)
1 (14.5 oz.) can of crushed tomatoes (italian style)
1/2 Tb. olive oil
3 garlic cloves

Sauce Ingredients:

5 sun dried tomatoes
2 Tb. olive oil
1 Tb. red wine vinegar
2 Tb. capers
pinch of salt and pepper
1 (14.5 oz) can of crushed tomatoes (italian style)

Making the Sauce
In a small food processor, add in all of your ingredients for the sauce and pulse until it forms a smooth consistency. It might still have some chunks from the capers and sun dried tomatoes, that is perfectly fine.
